Dancing with the Stars has reportedly been renewed for Season 33 on ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show has yet to make an official announcement about the renewal, and further details about the new season haven’t been revealed.

Dancing with the Stars Renewed for Season 33

Dancing with the Stars finished up Season 32 in December, with actress Xochitl Gomez taking home the Mirrorball trophy alongside her partner Val Chmerkovskiy. Now sources are saying Season 33 is a go at ABC, although further details have not been revealed.

For example, we don’t yet know if the show will be available to stream on Disney+ at the same time as it airs on ABC, as was the case during the most recent season. It’s also not clear whether the show will continue to air on Tuesdays, rather than the Mondays of seasons past.

Season 32 was co-hosted by former Mirrorball champion Alfonso Ribeiro and former pro dancer Julianne Hough. Their involvement in Season 33 has yet to be announced. Hough recently had to cancel her appearances on the show’s live tour due to a scheduling conflict.

A premiere date has yet to be announced, but new seasons of DWTS typically premiere in September.

Which Stars Will Compete This Season?

As Heavy points out, there is already some speculation about which celebrities might be competing on Season 33 of DWTS. That includes Bachelor star Joey Graziadei, as the show has a tradition of casting stars from Bachelor Nation.

Fans have also mentioned Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce (brother of Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce), as well as convicted murderer Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who was released from prison in December.

“I can’t dance. I’m not the best person with rhythm, but you never know,” Blanchard has said of the prospect. “Sometimes opportunities arise and it depends if I want to take it on or not. So, I’m just taking it day by day and we’ll see, whatever opportunities come up, we’ll see if I want to go through with it.”
