Iwasaki and Nyemchek got engaged in November 2022, having first met while competing on Season 14 of So You Think You Can Dance in 2017. Nyemchek finished the season in fourth place, while Iwasaki was the runner-up.

According to Brides magazine, the couple’s wedding was held at Crook Point in Pistol River, Oregon. Iwasaki posted a series of photos from the nuptials on Instagram, including a dreamy shot of her and Nyemchek surrounded by green grass and trees.

“Kiki and I both wanted outdoor energy for our entire wedding weekend,” the dancer told the magazine. “I love the mountains and I just knew I wanted to be surrounded by them—and we wanted our family and friends to experience the magic of the Pacific Northwest.”

Iwasaki wrote on Instagram that it was “the best weekend of our lives.” She thanked their guests for traveling to attend the wedding, closing the post by writing, “We are going to take many many days to soak it all in and enjoy this moment in our lives.”

Iwasaki Calls Nyemchek the ‘Love of My Life’

“Being married to Kiki feels like everything in life happened exactly the way it was supposed to,” Iwasaki told Brides. “He is my best friend, dance partner, and the love of my life all in one. Loving him is easy and being married to him makes me feel really lucky and giddy inside. It feels exactly right.”

Nyemchek shared that he feels “like an absolute rockstar and like the luckiest guy in the world” to be married to Iwasaki, adding, “I feel privileged to have a best friend and a wife in one person. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my days with her by my side.”

Iwasaki has competed on DWTS as a pro for two seasons. She was paired up with Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino in Season 31, and Veep actor Matt Walsh in Season 32. The pros for Season 33 have yet to be announced, so we don’t know if Iwasaki will be returning this year.
