The Masked Singer Panel Saves Poodle Moth from Elimination

Wednesday’s theme was Shower Anthems, as the remaining members of Group C belted out the songs they like to sing in the shower. Poodle Moth chose to sing “The House That Built Me” by Miranda Lambert, bringing powerful emotion to the song.

Poodle Moth had some tough competition in Clock, who performed “Respect” by Aretha Franklin during Wednesday’s show. At the end of the show, Lizard was eliminated, putting Poodle Moth and Clock in the Battle Royale.

Both contestants delivered incredible renditions of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. The panel chose to send Clock through to the next round, which meant that Poodle Moth would be unmasked. Final guesses about their identity included Shania Twain, Mandy Moore, and Brooke Shields.

However, as Poodle Moth was preparing to unmask, the panel decided to hit the “Ding Dong, Keep It On” bell for them. This kept Poodle Moth in the competition, so we won’t find out who’s under the mask just yet.

Lizard Unmasked as Sisqó

During Wednesday’s show, Lizard sang “Bring Me to Life” by Evanescence. It wasn’t enough to send him through to the next round, as he was the first contestant eliminated during the episode. That meant that he had to be unmasked.

Final guesses from the panel about Lizard’s identity included Ray J and Michael Bivins. However, only Robin Thicke and Rita Ora were correct in guessing that Lizard was Sisqó, known for the 1999 track “Thong Song.”

When asked why he chose to do the show, Sisqó said his family loves to watch. He joked about how many times people have guessed that he’s one of the celebrities under the mask. So when he finally got the opportunity to compete for real, he took it.

Sisqó finished his time on The Masked Singer by performing “Thong Song.” Tune in next Wednesday for Transformers Night.
